For over 20 years Rhalee Hughes Perry has run pr campaigns for top authors, celebrities, famous figures, favorite characters, and classic brands to address a full spectrum of publicity and marketing needs.

Prior to founding her own boutique practice, she was the Director of Publicity for Penguin Young Readers Group, Inc., now the largest book publisher in the world (Penguin Random House).  She has directed campaigns for such masters as Judy Blume, Eric Carle, Jan Brett, and SE Hinton; famous figures: Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, Al Gore, Henry Winkler, Cal Ripken, Jr., Ricky Gervais and Madonna; and favorite characters: Peter Rabbit, Classic Winnie-the-Pooh, Madeline, Strawberry Shortcake, and Nancy Drew among many others. She has been involved with hundreds of New York Times best sellers.

Rhalee maintains strong relationships with editors at leading magazines, newspapers, wire services, and online outlets; and producers at major TV and radio outlets. Past coverage includes: The Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS Mornings, The Late Show, The Tonight Show, The Daily Show, the New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, NPR’s All Things Considered, People, Variety, Publishers Weekly, Good Housekeeping, Better Homes and Gardens, among many other top tier outlets.

She holds her Master of Science in Publishing from New York University and her Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Politics from Queen’s University in Canada. She won the Oscar Dystel Fellowship at NYU in honor of her outstanding achievements in her first year of study and finished her degree by publishing her Masters project entitled “A Means to Measure” in Publishing Research Quarterly.
